Samsung Achieves Record High Level Handset Market Share In China
October 20, 20190
While other handset makers like Apple and Nokia are having trouble gaining handset market share in China, Samsung achieved a record high level recently, claiming 22.7 percent of the overall Chinese phone market. This beats Nokia’s declining market share, which has gone down 2.7% to 39.9%, even if it’s a bigger figure–the point is, their market share is slipping. Samsung first felt a surge in their Chinese phone market share back in 2008 during the Beijing Olympic Games.
where it reached 21.2% of the Chinese phone market. It would be interesting to see how long Samsung can play this catch-up game with Nokia, and when they’ll finally be able to take over as market leader, if that will ever happen.
