Samsung Claims Ownership Of 25% Worldwide Touchscreen Phone Market

Despite being outsold by Apple’s iPhone by at least a couple million units, Samsung claims that they now hold 25% of the world’s touchscreen phone market. This is a significantly higher amount than any of its competitors hold, but then again, it has touchscreen phones for all levels in its offerings – from mid to low end phones to their high end smartphones such as the Samsung OmniaHD.

Although the above number does merit boasting, I think Samsung would do better to just concentrate on their future offerings and work on delivering their new smartphones (specifically those with the Android OS as well as a few with the Symbian Foundation’s OS) to market so we can see if their millions of touchscreen phones really deserve to be out there. What do you say to that, Samsung?
